With two of his disciples, Baron Mordo travels to the Ancient One's sanctum in Tibet and attacks Dr. Strange and his mentor, forcing them to flee. At Mordo's request, the disciple hires smugglers in Hong Kong to locate Dr. Strange, but the target eludes him.

Learning that Dr. Strange is in London visiting Sir Baskerville, Mordo sends his disciple to destroy him. But Dr. Strange suspected the trap and knocks the disciple down. Thanks to his enchanted globe, Mordo's disciple locates Strange who has just cast a spell and informs his master.

Unable to contact Mordo, his disciple and his demon elaborate a plot with a third ally to place a regular bomb in Strange's retreat. Mordo's assassins capture the magician as he hurls the bomb away, but gets hit by the blast. In Mordo's absence, the self declared deputy assigns his master's disciple the task of analyzing his cloak. But Strange found a way to free himself, and despite the deputy's orders, Mordo's disciples fail to recapture him. Once the deputy has recovered Strange's body, the prisoner uses his cloak and amulet and manages to defeat Mordo's evil trio one by one. After he forces the deputy to release his body of its bonds, Strange erases all memories of black magic from the trio's minds.
