Kurrgo's planet faces destruction because a rogue asteroid is about to collide with it. Because, they don't dispose of enough ships to evacuate everyone from Planet X, he decides to take his robot to Earth to capture the Fantastic Four who are his only hope to save them. After finding a way to turn all humans against the heroes, his offer them sanctuary in exchange for Reed help with their problem. Reed solves the situation by creating a shrinking gas that allows the five billion inhabitants of the planet to evacuate on a single spaceship. In the process of secretly securing the enlarging gas for himself to enslave his people, Kurrgo is unable to reach the vessel and is left behind to perish on the doomed planet, ironically unaware that Reed did not have the time to devise an enlarging gas anyway.
