Issue Notes
The credits indicate "based on an original story 1964 by Harlan Ellison, and used by permission". Roy Thomas has said he originally saw the story as a multi-page synopsis in fanzine Comic Art #7 in 1968. It had been rejected for a Hawkman and Hawkgirl story by DC (the names were changed to Falcon and Greywing in the synopsis). Thomas re-worked the story for The Avengers, but believes it would have worked better as a 2-issue arc.
