Wow! Such a crappy issue. It started badly, and it just kept digging.

The one good thing for Angel's blindness is that he couldn't see this mess.
I'm still unsure what did reminding Cloud of Moondragon actually accomplish. There was lightning and magic and stuff. Invincible villain with dumb backstory is defeated.

Is Val going to need a new hairstyle after getting her braid chopped off? is about all I took away from this bizarre mini-arc.
Well that's over, what's coming up next? Oh, Dazzler. Cool, cool, cool...

Man, that fight reminded me of playing on a playground as a kid. There was always that onea**holekid that would play make believe and refuse to lose. Just Nuh uh you didn't touch me cause I have a force field now. or some bulls**tlike that. This Hotspur guy is annoying.

I don't really understand the narrative purpose of Gargoyle's late arrival to this fight. He may as well have gone with the group last issue.
Guess we're about to start seeing much less of Cloud. I was very interested if they were going to go anywhere with her Moondragon love and genderfluidity, but seems like no.

Funnily enough that's the same way you beat Tottenham Hotspur

If Hotspur is the leader of the Lords of Fun, Peter Gillis is the leader of the Lords of Confusion and Don Perlin is the leader of the Lords of Boredom

This is the cheap, no brand, generic knockoff version of Claremont's X-Men.

Worst summary ever:
Terrible.
The Defenders fight dreams. Except that they have guns. And want to fight guns, and don't. Iceman has some icy Dr. Octopus arms. Or maybe not. And Gargoyle sees everyone at a party. With blood. Maybe. And Someone can't tell their name. And will save Cloud. And it's Seraph. Behind a mask. Maybe.

What a hot mess. I was going to be kind and give it 2 stars as yhis title was one of my faves from the 70s. Then Seraph pulls off the Scooby Doo mask, automatic 1 star...

Yikes, this title is going no where at a speed so fast I am afraid of the damage it will do if it hits something. Yeah, make sense of that comment, easier than making sense of this title.

C'mon, Russ, just 5 issues left. You can do five issues....
2 stars. Barely.

It's a good thing this title is dead to me now. Otherwise, I might feel compelled to comment about how bad it was and that I'm looking forward to the final issue..

Okay I complained about the focus on Mondragon a few issues back. I don't like the character, but those were coherent solid stories at least. I could at least follow along and didn't get confused.

What is sad about the spiral of this series is that there is still plenty of creativity from the staff on it, but there just doesn't seem to be a coherent direction. They could have stuck with the action comedy format and been fine, or the hard horror, but none of the forays into other genres have any coherence or commitment behind them anymore.

This used to be a title I looked forward to and now I feel like it should have been cancelled about 10 issues ago. This was just plain bad.

I hate this lineup so much, it actually makes my teeth hurt.

The cover is awesome despite not having anything to do with the actual story.
