I registered just to ask - who is hiding behind the 'Rex Valve' alias?

Having Spidey check in on Johnny towards the end was a nice touch.

I just noticed that CMRO has a "Filler" Badge for issues worked on by Danny Fingeroth. I'm crying lol

Wait..are they trying to prevent suicide or cause it here?

@Russ: I was about to say that this seemed like a suicide prevention PSA comic that never got used. It's about the same level of writing...

The front framing panels just seemed really awkward...

I have to admit, I had trouble with this one. The first time with the Beyonder wasn't executed real well, and while I get that last-second fill-in issues are a necessary evil in the comics biz, I just didn't get why what's essentially the same plot was used again. What gets me the most, is that this one came out worse than the Beyonder issue! Man, how is that even possible?

2 stars. Not entirely worthless; the plot being re-purposed into an anti-suicide PSA was an idea that could've worked, it just didn't.

Huh. I never pictured Johnny as a truck guy...

Obligatory 2 stars for a reprint.

This story doesn't have anywhere near the emotional punch of the original one. While it's an interesting take to see how the family that's left behind would react the conflict is pretty forced.

And how did those guys get those suits and a retardant that works on the torch? I swear writers need to catch up on how fire works.

I've read this before, without having read the issues before or after, so in itself it's not too bad, but reading it now, in the order, makes it seem much worse than it is.

Extra hate for coming up right in the middle of a great storyline.

Filler issue due to deadline. Not bad as they come, I guess.
