I actually like this little mystery. It seemed somehow a little bit more complex and elaborate than your usual "only named guy must be the murderer".
The flame rope was utterly stupid...and sadly the nonsensical use of fire that will plague Human Torches of the future for a long time.

Movie studios prohibiting their stars from getting married for 5 years is the kind of nonsense you want to think can't be real but you know Hollywood probably did for as long as they could get away with it.
