8/10 - Electrified Galactus' Ego

This is an epic, action-packed issue where you can feel the cosmic scale of the events and characters portrayed.

Kirby continues mastering the penciling department. It should be pointed out the unusual amount of cool splash pages used as a means to boost the magnitude of what is transpiring.

Each one is worthy of becoming a poster. Any wall would deserve to have any of them as a poster. Especially, I love the vintage vibe of the two double-page photocompositions. I can imagine the innovative, jaw-dropping feeling of those years, reading comics with them.

I enjoyed all the fighting panels. The clash between Ego and Galactus makes everything around them feel insignificant and at their mercy. However, there were some inconsistencies with the scale of some elements compared to others. For example, the size of Thor when he confronts Galactus.

Regarding the story, I love the camaraderie and chemistry between Recorder and Thor; they complement each other perfectly. Despite being a robot, Recorder behaves more sentient and human than most of the characters that populated the Marvel Universe those years.

I liked the interactions of the characters, Ego's appreciation, and the happy ending.

I also think that cosmic or Asgardian stories outside of Earth fit perfectly with this character, as he can show all his powerful powers without any constriction. Recalling the old stories with Cobra, Mr. Hyde, The Wrecker, and the like pale in comparison to these recent ones.

What detracts this and the previous issue from a higher rating, is that the ending is a bit hasty and the usual topics and science nonsense from those years.
