Review of
Marvel Super-Heroes (1967) #13
8/10
The story so far is stepping in quality and it's different from what Marvel usually does in a very good way, so Kudos to Roy Thomas. The storyline has not mayor flaws and is being unfolded at a perfect pace. Nice way to build the intrigue and introducing interesting supporting characters, among Mar-Vell and Yon-rogg's dispute.
Also, the first appearance of Carol Danvers is great, as a woman with a role of responsibility, It's refreshing that she doesn't fall in love or is the love interest of the main hero at first sight, as usual. So far, it is closer to an spy film within a sci-fi movie than to a superhero genre, but i'm loving it.
Gene Colan's art as usual is awesome.
