Great intro of a pretty interesting character, with good background and motivations and different from what Stan and Marvel has presented so far. One of my favorite marvel characters, so i 'm thrilled to be able to read his first issues origin and evolution.

It's true that the character resembles Superman, because of powers source by earth characteristics and being an alien, but soon he will move away from these concepts and will be more related with cosmic Marvel stories that we all know. In some way it's more like a Stark Trek of a 60s science fiction than a superhero story with nutty science and silly gadgets.

The plot it's connected with the existing background in the marvel universe, by the Kree and the defeat of Ronan the Accuser and the Kree Sentry on earth, recently in the Fantastic Four #64 and #65. The flow of the story maintains the interest and at the end keeps you intrigued about what happens next.

Of course Stan lee has to introduce the overused love triangle of many other of his series, this time between two antagonist, we will se how it develops in the next issues.
