Review of
Sub-Mariner (1968) #16
5/10 - In the Mist of the Ocean
The concepts and ideas used in the issue have potential and could have made a better story, but their execution borders on the senseless and laughable on occasions. It's true that Tiger Shark is an interesting villain and Namor has been behaving less irrationally and impulsively than usual lately, but the issue as a whole barely gets approved.
I liked that they brought back a character from the past, but it's tiresome to see Lady Dorma again and again got caught and waiting to be rescued. Marie Severin, with her excellent art, helps to make the reading more enjoyable. The cover is cool with an eerie vibe.
