Review of
Avengers (1963) #52
LOVE THE PANTHER
And we're not just talking the Christopher Priest version of the character that I REALLY love, either. This guy is some sorta crazed loon - and bound to his extreme sense of justice - but I love the dude.
And the Grim Reaper is a CLASSIC villain. This combined with the upcoming Ultron coming out - you could make strong arguments that this age of Avengers would be one of the strongest places that the back bone of the team was made. And while the lineup isn't the classic one - and that lasted SUCH a short time, anyway - it brings together a cool pantheon. I also liked the brief recollection of old Wonder Man in the story, too. Coming back - eventually - but for now it's just making a rounder read.
