Review of
Avengers (1963) #52
THEY ALL COME TOGETHER
Perhaps it's my love for it - but the dialogue in the comic is pretty good. The story isn't half bad, either. Nice to see the old two heroes come together in an outing - following the OLD when two villains get together and they start as enemies.
It is a BIT different - throwing in some more hidden gems in there. The hidden thing on Angel's wing was great. It threw me off the path of the 'surprise' battle - and hidden agenda to throw Magneto off the course.
It ends MUCH too quickly. And Toad is little more than Igor in the comic. The Avengers comic has come a long way, and X-Men - even better - is a pale comparison.
4/5
