Review of
Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #33
Even at the start, so much of the feel of the book is changing. Lovely cover, and it gets better. The art, coloring, and frames - plus the increasing size - really start to fill in many of the parts - quickly. It gets bigger and bigger and bigger as the frames go, and I FEEL every strain through them.
Awesome.
Then reality comes crashing back over the book. It isn't bad at the ending, and usually I would think that the comic was good - exploring the reality of the character. But in this case, when the beginning was SO good, the end just didn't come close at all.
I did love the reveal at the end of Kraven. Welcome back!
